“Mm?”
“What is it?”
“My dear, am I correct in saying you painted this from life?”
“Most of it, I also took some photographs and used them as reference when I was back in my studio.”
“I must see those photographs at once. This isn’t just the perfect gift for the vicar; it may also save a man’s life.”
