I have so many nutcrackers
I collect them every year
I've lost count of the number
But I hold them all so dear

In size and shape they vary
In color, they do, too
To this lovely Christmas icon
I remain forever true

Aged six in San Francisco
Did I this collection start
For, one year prior, Baryshnikov
Did steal away my heart

One year brought me a cowboy
This year, it was a unicorn
Tall, medium, small, these beauties
Make me glad that I was born
