Quickly, Davy cut him off. "Care for a slice of fruitcake," he offered. "All three of my sisters back home sent us some. Should've gotten together on that; but there you are. You can have a whole loaf of fruitcake, if you'd like."
"No, thank you," Babbitt muttered, his mind still on a holiday party of alleged adults sitting around and playing kids' games. "I think I've had my fill for one Christmas."
