Summary: Herr Sigerson spies a snow globe in a Christmas market.
Herr Sigerson was marching through the Christmas market observing everyone and everything but the wares of the season on offer when one of them caught his eye.
He stopped in his tracks.
The globe contained a wintery woodland scene, but it wasn’t the pines and snow which arrested him.
It was the star in the tiny firmament.
Where was his own pole star tonight?
Sigerson bought the little thing with coins he could ill afford to spare, and it sat on the windowsill for the better part of a month, lighting his way, before circumstances forced him to abandon it.
