"What do you think," Micky asked, practically bouncing in place.
Mike let out a low, impressed whistle. "Now, how in the world did you ever manage to do that," he asked.
The Pad's spiral staircase had been done up to almost perfectly emulate a Christmas tree. Garlands and pine limbs were threaded through the bannister and supports. Large lights glowed, reflecting off of glass ball ornaments.
"It wasn't easy," Micky confessed as he watched Mike go up the stairs--and wincing at the sight of him tripping on a stray lighting wire. "And it probably needs a little more work."
