Chandler could almost kiss the airline ticket once it's in his hand. It's his ticket to freedom, and to happiness.
No more flying to Tulsa, and away from Monica. No more lying alone in a hotel bed, missing the woman he loves.
Of course, quitting his job also means a lot less money coming in to support them both. But he'll find something else. Something better, that doesn't tear him away from everything that matters the most.
Boarding the plane, Chandler imagines gleefully how excited Monica--and the rest of that wonderful gang back in New York--will be to see him, just in time for Christmas.
