When you open up your gifts, I beg each one of you to remember
Whether you do it on the twenty-fourth or twenty-fifth of December
It shouldn't have to take a visit from old Jacob Marley's ghost
To bring to all the recollection that love is what matters most
Give to each and to the other, every one, your hands and hearts
Whether they live close to you, or in some foreign parts
If we give each other love, then we'll have nothing to fear
And so let us all offer to each other all our Christmas cheer
