"What in the world are you wearing," Phoebe asked, awestruck.
Chandler laughed with chagrin, gazing down at the source of her shock. He was in a bright red pullover, onto which had been stitched real candy canes, lots of bows, tacky-looking bells, and all sorts of other holiday paraphernalia. "We were holding an ugly Christmas sweater contest at work," he replied. "Gruesome, isn't it? I'm gonna throw it away; I don't think I'll ever wear it again." He tugged it off, crumpling it.
"Don't throw it away," Phoebe shrilly hollered, forcing Chandler to cringe. "Do you even realize how much synthetic material is in that sweater? It'll take thousands of years for all of it to biodegrade. You'll be cluttering the environment by letting that sweater get chucked into a landfill."
Blushing, Chandler nodded a bit. "I...guess you're right, Pheebs. Uh, do you want it?"
"Sure!" Instantly, she tugged it out of his hands, putting it on, herself. "It's always good to give used clothes a new life."
"That's great," Chandler muttered, watching her walk off in satisfaction. "But now everybody else gets to look at that eyesore."
