Title: 'Desperate'
Fandom: The Monkees
Characters: Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz
Rating: G
"So, how was your date with Doris," Davy asked, watching as Micky trudged through the door of the Pad.
"Lousy," Micky groaned, digging a bottle of milk out of the icebox and taking a hearty slug. Keeping the bottle with him, he joined Davy at the table, slumping into one of the chairs.
"You really ought to try drinking out of a glass, now and then," Davy gently scolded. "What happened?"
Shuddering, Micky explained: "That chick is nuts. I mean, she isn't unattractive, or anything. But she's so pushy. All evening long, she kept chasing me around with a bunch of mistletoe! I'd've been glad to kiss her, if she hadn't been so aggressive about it." He shuddered, taking another long, hearty slug out of the milk bottle, ignoring his friend's suggestion entirely. "I'm starting to think she was desperate to date anybody, at all."
"So she chose a lunatic who thinks nothing about whether or not his housemates want their milk relatively pure? You're right," Davy nodded sagely. "Doris was desperate."
"Thanks a lot, Shorty."
