The snowman in the night
Stares at the stars so bright
And hopes that he will see
Santa in his lovely sleigh
As he flies far away
With all love for you and me

The snowman counts the stars
He knows that they are far
But they all look so very near
That he could have such fun
Catching each sparkling one
And holding them all so dear

The snowman a wish makes
Before the new dawn breaks
Upon a bright, fresh day
That we will, one and all
In later years recall
The joy and love we find today
