Fandom: Leverage

Read fic on AO3 or
“If God meant people to walk on ice, we’d have skates growing out of our feet!” Alec grumbled as he shoved his feet into the admittedly cool-looking hockey skates.
“But it’s fun!” Parker jumped—actually jumped up and down—on the ice. Wearing little blades of metal on her feet.
She’d gone for figure skates, of course. She was probably going to do some damn cartwheels out there, which Alec would be happy to watch. From over here. On the bench. With regular shoes on his feet like God intended.
“Woman, you think jumping off of buildings is fun!”
“You got used to that, didn’t you?” Eliot asked, eyebrow raised. He was also wearing hockey skates, naturally. At least there probably wouldn’t be any reason to get into any fights on the ice at this festive holiday rink.
Probably.
“I mean, it’s not like I had a choice. Also, at least when y’all make me jump off of things, I get to wear a rig. Ain’t no rigs in skating!”
Parker took one of his hands. Eliot took the other.
“We’re your rig, Alec,” Parker said softly.
“You know we got your back, man,” Eliot said, his voice almost as gentle.
With a sigh, Alec let them both lead him onto the ice. The things he did for the people he loved. And if they managed to get him gliding around without hardly stumbling by the end of the night, to the point it was almost fun, well, that was a bonus.
