"I'm not sure I appreciate your latest Christmas gift, sweetie," River sighed. She gazed into the box, staring at numerous Harlequin-style "romance" novels. "While it's the thought that counts, I don't think you quite thought this one through."
The Doctor gave her an innocent shrug, sucking on a candy cane. "I don't see what the trouble is," he replied. "A sexy little devil like you...I thought you'd enjoy those books. You can consider them something to keep you going when I'm not around." He shot her a wink, looking confident.
"Well, in that case," she grinned, tossing the box aside and lunging at him, "ask yourself one question."
As deft fingers made short work of his tie, the Doctor swallowed, suddenly nervous. "W-what question?"
The look in her eyes was downright predatory. "What do I need pornographic books for, when I've got you to fantasize about?"
