River smiled in delight as the Doctor brought over a tray with two steaming mugs of cocoa, and a pile of marshmallows of varying sizes. "Such excellent service," she purred as he settled in beside her--being careful not to jostle the tray and spill any cocoa on the plaid flannel bed linens.
"So," he grinned back, handing her one of the mugs, "what do you want to do today?"
She gazed out the window of the cabin he'd surprised her by renting, watching as the snow fell. "It's so nice and cozy in here. Why not have an all-day lie in," she suggested, sipping her cocoa.
The Doctor smirked a little, unsurprised. "I could be persuaded to agree to that," he murmured with a wink.
