Title: Sweets for the Sweet
Fandom: Supernatural/Wayward Sisters
Pairing/Characters: Jody/Donna
Rating/Warnings: G

Prompt: gingerbread house
Summary: It was supposed to be a surprise. Instead, it was a disaster.
“Goddamn it!” Jody threw the bag of frosting onto the counter in disgust.
“What’s wrong, sunshine?”
Jody spun around to hide the disaster behind her, arms splayed out to cover as much as possible.
“What? Wrong? Nothing.” She followed Donna’s eyes to the gumdrops that had spilled onto the floor.
Not good. Time for a distraction.
She took two strides to get to Donna, cradled her face in her hands, and kissed her long and deep. Donna melted against her and slid her arms around Jody’s waist. When Jody went to run her fingers through Donna’s hair, though, the frosting on her fingertips caught the fine strands.
Yeah, she hadn’t thought this through very well.
“Mmm. Good to see you too.” Donna raised a hand to her own hair, an eyebrow going up when it came away sticky. Sliding her hands down to Jody’s hips, she moved her aside and walked over to the site of Jody’s shame.
So much for distraction.
“Awww, Jods, you made a gingerbread house?” Donna looked up at her with that smile that shone right out of her eyes.
How was Donna even real?
“Well, I tried to,” Jody admitted. She waved a hand at the roof slab that had cracked and now looked like a caved-in frosting-covered mess from her attempts at roof repair. “Apparently frosting is good enough to glue it together, but not good enough to fix it.”
Donna looked at it consideringly, then turned the house so that side of the roof was facing the wall. “There. All fixed.”
Jody chuckled and shook her head. “So you like it?”
“You betcha!” Donna looked down at the hand that still had frosting from her hair. “Gotta go wash up though. Wanna join me?”
Jody grinned, already taking off her apron. “You betcha.”

Prompt: Christmas cracker
Summary: But seriously, though, who set the table with giant Tootsie Rolls?
Sam was surprised when he saw that Eileen had set the table with what looked like giant, colorful Tootsie Rolls at each place setting. He tapped her shoulder, pointed to one, and signed, “What?”
“You’ll see,” she said and signed back.
He was too curious to wait for Dean and Cas, though, so he picked one up. It was light, felt hollow. It rustled a little when he shook it, but not enough to give him a clue what was inside.
“You’re such a child,” she said with a laugh, taking it away from him. “You really can’t wait? Fine.”
She held it back out to him, leaving Sam more confused than ever. He took hold of it, but she moved his hand back from the cylindrical center to the gathered wrapping at the end.
“Hold tight,” she said as she yanked on it, opening it with a startling POP.
She laughed at his flinch and fished around inside the thing, pulling out a strip of paper and shaking it out into a crown. “Now you get to explain to your brother why you’re answering the door wearing a crown.”
Bemused, he bent so she could stick it on his head.
“Thanks,” he signed before leaning in for a kiss.
“You never did Christmas crackers growing up? You Americans miss out on all the fun.”
“We barely did Christmas growing up,” Sam said and attempted to sign. He was getting better, but he still had a ways to go. She seemed to get it, though, looking first sad, and then mischievous.
“Don’t tell Dean.” She snatched the crown off his head. “In fact …”
Sam watched as she dug out another cracker and replaced his. He grinned back at her just as the doorbell rang. This was going to be fun.

Prompt: candle
Summary: Castiel stood back and assessed his work, nodding as he decided that it was good.
He placed each ornament with the precision he had once believed his Father had done in creating the universe. Castiel stood back and assessed his work, nodding as he decided that it was good.
The Impala’s engine rumbled into the garage, and he pulled out his phone. A text confirmed Sam had remained in town and would not return to the bunker until morning. Castiel lit a large pillar candle and turned off the lights.
“Why’s it so dark in here? Cas? Aren’t you here?”
“In here, Dean.”
“Dude, why are the lights … off?” Dean stopped short at the entrance to their bedroom and stared at the tree, candlelight glimmering off the garland, tinsel, and carefully placed ornaments. He dropped his duffel bag with a clatter. “You did this?”
“Yes.”
For a long moment, Castiel wondered if he had miscalculated. Sam had said that they rarely observed the holiday, but he had implied that it was one Dean enjoyed.
“For me?”
“Yes.”
“This is awesome.” Dean took a step closer. Then another. Then he wrapped his arms around Castiel and held him tightly as he whispered, “Thank you.”
Castiel carefully returned the embrace, pointedly ignoring the dampness he felt against his neck.
“You like it, then?”
“Dude, I love it.” Dean pulled back and stole another glance at the tree. “Kinda stealin’ my thunder here, though.”
“What thunder?”
Dean laughed and shook his head. He took Cas’ hand and pulled him towards the bed. “That can wait till morning. Let’s enjoy your sparkles for now. How did you even do that?”
“It was a simple matter of calculating the angles …”
Dean, however, did not appear interested in having his question answered, as he pressed his lips firmly against Castiel’s. Castiel found that he approved of this method of enjoying sparkles.
