Snow fell soft over the church steps, catching in the lights along the railings. Inside, music rose and settled like breath. Harry stood beside Draco, both of them watching their daughter at the front, calm and bright. She looked older today. Just certain.
Draco leaned close. "She looks steady."
Harry nodded. "She looks like herself."
Guests smiled. Someone laughed quietly. A bell chimed as the doors opened wider, letting in cold air and pine. Harry reached for Draco’s hand. They did not look away.
When she turned and caught their eyes, she smiled, and they smiled back, proud without conditions.
