Summary: Seokjin is playing with his food.
“Why didn’t the snowman go to the party?” mused Seokjin aloud. “Because he had snow-one to go with. There you are.”
Seokjin smiled with satisfaction at the marshmallow snowman floating in his hot chocolate.
“Excuse me?” said a deep voice.
Seokjin looked up.
Pretty eyes.
“Is this seat taken?”
Seokjin shook his head.
“Cute.”
So were the stranger’s dimples, Seokjin thought, but he just said, “Thanks.”
“Could you make one for me?”
Seokjin’s defenses went up. “Are you making fun of me? A grown man, playing with his food, cracking jokes with his hot beverage?”
“No! No. I just thought it looked fun. And you looked fun.”
“I’m not fun. Answer me this: why was the snowman looking through a pile of carrots?”
A blank look, a not-blank look, a nervous laugh. “Um, he was picking his nose?”
“Well done. I’ll make you one, but you have to buy the Winter Wonderland cookie. That’s where I got the bits to make the face and limbs.”
“I’ll do it. Right now. Kim Namjoon, by the way.”
“Kim Seokjin.”
“You’ll save my seat?”
Seokjin nodded. Then he brought the mug to his lips and sipped, wondering what would happen next.
