Summary: SUGA is preparing eggnog.
Yoongi was so deep in thought that he did not hear the door buzz. It was the evening of his and Hoseok’s winter ritual, the eggnog tasting. Long ago, in what seemed like another lifetime, he and Hoseok had tried eggnog and liked it.
Not enough to make it often. Not enough even to make it more than once a year.
But once a year, yes. And this year, that was tonight.
Hoseok was out, taking Holly for his final walkies of the day. Before they’ had left, Yoongi had made Hoseok promise to go left to avoid the sausage vendor who had a soft spot for Holly. Filling up on spicy pork products turned Yoongi’s toy poodle into a cross between a Tasmanian devil and a jumping bean.
But when the door buzzed, Yoongi wasn’t thinking about sausages; he was thinking about what liquor to add to the eggnog.
The base was ready. It only needed the Christmas spirit.
Brandy was traditional.
But there was more than one brandy to choose from. There was also rum, whiskey, bourbon…
Yoongi had narrowed it down to the three, but he was having difficulty deciding among them. He didn’t want to wait and ask Hoseok. He wanted to present Hoseok with the perfect drink. He sniffed the eggnog. Then he sniffed the bottles each. Then…
“Listen, Yoongs, don’t get mad, but—”
BOING! BOING!
WOOF!
“AARGH!”
“OH NO!”
“HOLLY!”
“Oh, gosh, Yoongs, are you okay?”
Yoongi was on his back, doused in brandy. His dog, who was also doused in brandy, had already bound into the other room, presumably to topple the Christmas tree as he’d toppled his owner.
“Yoongi,” said Hoseok laughing as he mopped Yoongi’s chest. “You weren’t kidding about the sausage, hmm. Is the eggnog ready?”
“It is now.”
