Cologne for her brother? Check, though it almost falls out onto the floor of the bus.
Pendant and earring set for her mother? Check, wrapped up in a scrap of paper that Nellie had set aside from last year's wrapping.
New golf balls and tees for her dad? Check, again.
Satisfied, Nellie settles back into the bus seat, gazing out the window. Home is only a few more cities away. She'll be there soon.
She can hardly wait.
