Ginny stopped in the doorway and laughed softly. The Christmas tree was blue, not green, glowing like winter sky. Luna had chosen it, of course. She stood nearby, thoughtful, adjusting a gold star that leaned a little left.
"It felt right," Luna said. Ginny stepped closer, brushing cold needles with warm fingers. The room smelled of citrus and magic dust. Presents waited quietly at the base.
Ginny kissed Luna's cheek, then her mouth, slow and sure. Outside, snow fell. Inside, the blue tree watched them, bright and strange and perfect. Together, they felt chosen, steady, loved, laughing, home, safe, whole.
