Baby New Year

Do remember that you can continue posting into January if you have stories that need to be told and which you haven't yet finished. We're pretty lax about the rules around here. ;)

Also, a plea. We've had some requests about changing the Advent Tree to be more user friendly for those who have difficulty seeing red/green etc. and we're totally open to that. What we need are suggestions on what to replace it with.
If you have thoughts/ideas about that, leave a comment here. Thanks!

And HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! <3<3<3

Once I’m back from being out of town I have plans see about tree change suggestions - I just haven’t had the bandwirh while not being at home! (I’m also a week behind on stables... eeeek!)

OMG Thank you about changing the tree, because it's so hard to see. However, I don't think that you need to replace it. You can change the test to white and have the blinking only on the specific day, so even if one can't read it, the blinking will tell you what day you need to click on.

Hi!
This was my first time doing the advent drabbles, and I have so enjoyed participating!!
Thank you so much for organising this. Hopefully until next time!!

Oh, and about the tree, the sparkling is kind of triggering for people who are sensitive to that kind of thing. The numbers weren't that easy to find (for me anyway), and the sparkling made it even more difficult. But yeah, not sure what to replace it with. I guess maybe just one colour and no sparkling would make it easier to read? I don't know. Just my problem, I guess. 🙈

Thanks for hosting this terrific community! I always look forward to seeing what the prompts will be. :D

I personally don't have a problem with the tree, though the sparkles do make the numbers a bit tricky to find. But, for me, that's like hunting down which door to open on a chocolate advent calendar; it's part of the fun. And it's pretty!

However, my grandfather was colorblind, and I know that there are people who can potentially get seizures triggered by flashing. So it probably would be best to change it.

Maybe have only the day itself flashing, but slowly. And, when the next day's prompt comes up, have that one be the only one flashing. Just one flash a day, in a slow, on-off kind of pattern. That way, it'd be easier to find, possibly easier for people with colorblindness to see, and hopefully not trigger seizures for those who are sensitive to such things.
