The ball wasn't as bad as Megumi expected. The guests were pleasant as they fawned over the two of them, mostly Erina though. Megumi had entertained guests before as a former Elite Ten, but not to this extent. Megumi was offered a position as head judge at a gingerbread house competition next week and she promised to check her calendar before she was pulled away by Erina.
"Merry Christmas, Megumi. Thank you for being here with me."
"Merry Christmas, and of course! There's nowhere I'd rather be than here with you." Megumi gently kissed Erina. "Amidst bright lights and gingerbread."
